Court sentencing in Cardigan
A 20-year-old man from Aberporth has appeared before magistrates to answer for a drug possession charge. Cai Williams, of 47 Brynglas, appeared at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 29 July.
Williams pleaded guilty to the possession of 0.3g of cannabis. The offence took place on Netpool Road in Cardigan on 21 May earlier this year.
Penalties imposed
Magistrates issued a £40 fine to the defendant. In addition to the fine, Williams was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs. The court also issued a forfeiture and destruction order for the seized cannabis.
