Bedfordshire Police have emphasised that such operations are frequently identified through community reporting. The force has urged residents to continue providing information regarding suspected drug activity in their local areas.
In a statement, the force highlighted the human cost associated with illicit cultivation, noting that vulnerable individuals are often exploited to work within these environments. Police described the conditions as "poor and dangerous," adding that the presence of such factories often leads to increased antisocial behaviour, violence, and wider criminal activity in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
"That's why we are committed to finding, disrupting and dismantling these operations wherever they exist," a spokesperson for the force stated.
