A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after attempting to flee a police raid in Urmston while carrying a large quantity of cannabis.
Joshua Hodson, of Bedford Avenue, was apprehended by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers on July 1 after they executed a warrant at a property on Victoria Parade. As officers entered the premises, Hodson attempted to escape through a bedroom window onto the roof of the adjacent shops.
During the pursuit, Hodson dropped a bag containing a significant amount of cannabis bush. A subsequent search of his address uncovered further quantities of the drug, alongside cannabis vapes, gummies, packaging materials, and weighing scales.
