Dawn Raid in Astley Bridge
Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at a residential property on Hill Cot Road, Astley Bridge, uncovering a significant cannabis cultivation operation.
Upon entering the premises, police discovered that the building had been converted into a cannabis farm. A total of 113 cannabis plants were seized by officers and have since been destroyed.
Ongoing Investigation
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have confirmed that enquiries are currently ongoing to identify those responsible for the operation.
This raid follows a series of enforcement actions across Bolton aimed at dismantling illegal drug production. Earlier this year, a separate operation on Newport Street led to the discovery of a large-scale farm and the subsequent prosecution of two individuals, who now face deportation after their custodial sentences.
